History:
Freya’s life began with cruelty. Security guards at a factory in the Orkhevi suburb of Tbilisi saw her thrown from a moving car—discarded like trash. She hit the ground hard and struggled to walk. Just two days later, she was hit by another car. She spent the entire night lying near the security booth, unable to move, crying in pain.
Thankfully, help arrived. We rushed Freya to the vet, where she was treated for severe bruising and babesiosis, a tick-borne illness. Miraculously, she had no broken bones. After a month of care, Freya regained the ability to walk—and hasn’t looked back since.
For the past nine months, Freya has been in a loving foster home, where she’s blossomed into a sweet, energetic, and affectionate dog. She’s now fully healthy, vaccinated, sterilized, microchipped, and regularly treated for parasites.
Personality:
Freya still has the playful, bouncy spirit of a puppy. She adores people, loves cuddles, and enjoys running and going on walks. Indoors, she’s calm and relaxed—she loves curling up and often prefers staying in rather than going outside again.
She does have a dominant streak with other dogs, especially around food, and she may bark at them. With consistent training and socialization, these behaviors can be improved. She also tends to jump up when greeting people, so a confident and patient adopter would be ideal—especially someone experienced with larger dogs.
Freya is slightly larger than average and may have had her ears cropped by a previous owner. Because of her size and background, her chances of being adopted locally are extremely low. But she is a loving, loyal dog who simply needs someone to give her a real chance.
